OUR REAL ALES

Our flagship cask ale proved so popular with the local real ale enthusiasts we decided to bottle it too!  A delicious amber ale packed with flavour, refreshing bitterness and a delicate hoppy finish imparted by a late addition of East Kent Golding and Progress hops. Contains BARLEY.

A new take on an old-fashioned classic, Cavendish Red is brewed with a balanced blend of wheat and barley malts to deliver a deliciously chocolaty, malty flavour. We use traditional Brewer's Gold and East Kent Golding hops for a satisfying light bitterness with Bramling Cross hops for a subtle spiciness and fruity aroma.  Contains BARLEY and WHEAT.  

Specially created for the spring and summer festival season, this is a thirst-quenching zesty pale ale ideal for the long hot summer days.  Brewed with generous amounts of Cascade, Summit, Australian Summer and Ekuanot hops to impart incredible orange and lemon, papaya and melon flavours with a deliciously refreshing grapefruit aroma.  Contains BARLEY.

This rich tawny beer is full of satisfying malty flavours due to a generous combination of barley and wheat malts. Brewed with traditional English Fuggle and East Kent Golding hops with a late addition of fragrant Slovenian Aurora to deliver a delicious spiciness and subtle hop aroma.  Contains BARLEY and WHEAT.

Hopped in multiple stages through the brewing process, our premium pale ale is loaded with generous quantities of Amarillo, Summit, Columbus and Simcoe hops.  The result is a mouthwatering ale full of citrus aromas and huge refreshing flavours of tangerine, grapefruit and lychee.  Contains BARLEY. 

Our premium English ale is brewed with a rich blend of speciality barley and wheat malts. East Kent Golding and Aramis hops provide a truly satisfying bitterness with late additions of Palisade and Pilgrim hops for a spicy, full flavoured ale with a delicate dried fruit aroma.  Contains BARLEY and WHEAT. 

A rich and complex porter brewed with roasted barley, dark crystal and chocolate malts and sustainably sourced freshly ground coffee. We use Challenger and Magnum hops to deliver a well-balanced bitterness and late addition Willamette and Belma hops for a hint of red berries. Contains BARLEY. 

Inspired by the complex fruity aroma of traditional Trappist ales, we've created a lighter, more refreshing pilsner style beer. By using Belgian abbey yeast and floral Saaz and Tettnang hops with Belgian Pilsner malt we've crafted a deliciously thirst-quenching hybrid ale, equally ideal served chilled on a warm summer's evening or in front of the fire place, keeping winter at bay! Contains BARLEY. 

Our very limited-edition Belgian dark ale is brewed with armfuls of speciality barley and wheat malts and wonderfully fragrant hops.  A dark, rich and full-bodied ale to be savoured slowly... and the Belgian Abbey yeast delivers irresistibly fruity notes!  Contains WHEAT & BARLEY. Powerful, refreshing and not for the faint-hearted, our thoroughly modern Double IPA is jam packed with mouthwatering new world hops.  Bursting with fresh pine, passion fruit and orange citrus flavours from the freshest Simcoe, Chinook and Amarillo hops and brewed with the finest pale malts for a gigantic, full strength beast of an ale! Contains BARLEY. 

Brewed with flaked maize and fine pilsner malts, Saffron Sun is a crisp, refreshing craft lager.  We use Aramis, Mount Hood and aromatic Ultra hops to deliver delicious herbal, spicy and sweet honey notes. Contains BARLEY. 

Our dark chestnut-coloured festive ale is brewed with a subtle hint of Christmas spices. The combination of barley and wheat malts layered with traditional English hops imparts a subtly sweet, dried fruits flavour and a distinctive nose of sherry and cinnamon. A perfect ale to be savoured through the long winter evenings. Contains BARLEY and WHEAT.  Back again in the Winter!

Our very special, limited edition best bitter is brewed with a blend of East Anglian barley and wheat malts and fresh, handpicked hops from historic Castle Hedingham, Essex. Simply classic, traditional and full of rich, satisfying flavours. Available in larger 500ml bottles.  Contains BARLEY and WHEAT. SPECIAL. LIMITED AVAILABILITY.

Our rich and satisfying Suffolk Porter is brewed with roasted barley, crystal and chocolate malts.  Challenger and Aramis hops provide a well balanced bitterness and a touch of spice with late additions of Palisade and Crystal hops for a subtle fruitiness. Contains BARLEY.

A strong, rich and full-bodied Imperial Stout brewed with roast barley and dark caramel malts.  English Admiral and Czech Lubelska hops provide a satisfying bitterness with notes of spice, coffee and chocolate from the speciality malts.  A deliciously deep and distinctive ale best savoured slowly. A fresh tasting pale amber ale with a light and fruity aroma. Designed with the warmer months in mind, we use fine pale and crystal malts with a blend of eight mouth-watering hops to deliver a refreshing, satisfying and splendidly Suffolk ale!  Contains BARLEY. SPECIAL. LIMITED AVAILABILITY.

A very special festive Märzenbier cask and bottle conditioned lager, brewed with Munich and Pilsner malts for a rich biscuit grain flavour and zesty Mandarina Bavaria hops for a splash of refreshing orange citrus.  Wonderfully Germanic! All our ales are made with malted BARLEY and some with WHEAT as well. As a natural part of the fermentation a very small amount of SULPHITES will be present - non are added. Please get in touch to find out more.
